Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 23, 2026

RAINVELLA (the “Store”) is operated by RAINVELLA LLC, a single-member limited liability company based in Iowa, United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit https://rainvella.com, create an optional account, buy rainwear or accessories, request support, submit a review, or interact with our communications. RAINVELLA LLC is the business responsible for its own processing of customer information. This policy covers our website, not independent websites or services operated by third parties.

Contact and business information: RAINVELLA LLC; 700 Pershing Rd Trlr 73, Maquoketa, IA 52060, United States; info@rainvella.com; +1 (563) 521-1590. Customer service: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Central Time (CST/CDT; America/Chicago). You may also use our Contact Us page.

1. Personal information we obtain

Information you provide. When you create an account, we obtain your email address, password or authentication information, and account details you choose to save. Guest checkout is available. When you order, we obtain your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address, billing address where necessary, items and quantities, delivery choice, and order details. We receive transaction status and limited payment references from the payment service actually used at checkout, rather than full card numbers or card security codes. If you contact us, we collect the contents of your messages and relevant order or contact details. For a return or claim, we may obtain your order number, the affected products, the requested remedy, a description of the problem, and relevant photographs or videos when reasonably needed; ordinary change-of-mind returns generally do not need pictures. Newsletter subscribers provide an email address and associated subscription choices. Reviews may contain the review text, rating, display information, and any photo you voluntarily provide. Information needed to identify an order is used on the Order Tracking page.

Information collected during site use. Our website may process an IP address, approximate location based on IP, browser/device and operating-system characteristics, language preferences, server logs, pages visited, internal searches, shopping-cart and checkout actions, and information used for security and website operation. Optional analytics or advertising technologies may also collect online identifiers, referral or advertising-click information, product views, add-to-cart actions and purchase-related events, only to the extent the relevant technology is enabled and permitted under your applicable choices. We do not intentionally collect precise GPS location, health information, government-issued identity documents, or complete card security codes during ordinary shopping. We do not use a customer-facing live-chat, session-replay or heatmap feature according to our present business records.

Information about other people. If you send an order to another recipient, we use their name, address and delivery contact details to fulfil that shipment. Please supply only the information necessary for delivery.

2. Purposes and lawful grounds

We use the information described above to: operate accounts and guest checkout; verify payments and prevent fraud; accept, prepare, dispatch and track orders; handle address corrections, cancellations, returns, replacements and refunds; provide customer support; display and moderate reviews; manage promotions and email subscriptions; maintain systems and security; comply with accounting, tax and consumer obligations; and investigate or defend disputes.

Where European data protection law applies, the grounds depend on the activity: performance of a contract or requested pre-contract steps for checkout, fulfilment and contractual support; legal obligations for applicable recordkeeping and regulatory duties; legitimate interests, balanced against individual rights, for reasonably necessary security, fraud prevention, service improvement, review moderation, non-contractual enquiries and dispute management; and consent, where required, for non-essential cookies or tracking, certain promotional communications, and optional advertising audience matching. Some processing may involve more than one ground for distinct purposes. You may withdraw consent and object to certain legitimate-interest processing as provided by applicable law.

Essential service emails relating to an order are distinct from promotional messages. Placing an order does not automatically subscribe you to advertising emails or authorize optional tracking.

3. Payments

Payment options are only those actually enabled and shown at checkout. Where a payment provider, card issuer or authentication service handles a payment, it may independently process billing details, payment credentials, device information and fraud-prevention data in accordance with its own privacy notice. Our order records ordinarily contain only the transaction identifier, amount, payment or refund status, payment method and, where available, limited card information such as its last four digits. We do not intentionally receive or store full payment-card numbers or CVV/CVC codes. Do not send sensitive card information or passwords to our support inbox.

4. Hosting, fulfilment and other recipients

We disclose only information reasonably needed to the recipients involved in providing the Store, including the WordPress website environment and Hostinger hosting/email services; any configured website, checkout or email-subscription services; warehouse and fulfilment providers who need order and delivery details; DHL and FedEx for shipping, customs support, tracking and delivery; payment and fraud-prevention providers actually used to process a transaction; and technical or professional service providers assisting us under appropriate arrangements. We may provide information where required by law or to address legitimate legal claims. Service providers and logistics businesses may process information in other countries as the service requires.

Our recorded marketing technology includes Meta Pixel. Google advertising and TikTok-related functionality, if actually deployed, must be disclosed and governed by the same consent and privacy requirements before activation. Advertising technology can involve the disclosure of browsing activity and online identifiers to advertising companies for measurement or targeted advertising. A disclosure can constitute “sharing,” “sale,” or targeted advertising under certain U.S. privacy statutes even where we receive no money for customer lists. We do not sell or rent customer contact lists for cash. We do not describe advertising disclosures as nonexistent simply because they are uncompensated.

We do not allow fulfilment providers to use customer delivery data for their independent marketing. We may disclose limited information to advisers, regulators or a successor in a lawful business reorganization when necessary and subject to applicable safeguards.

5. Cookies, advertising and audience matching

We use CookieYes to offer choices for Necessary, Functional, Analytics, Performance and Advertisement categories. Necessary technologies support carts, checkout, account security and remembering privacy preferences. The other categories are optional where consent is required. Closing a banner or continuing to browse is not consent. You can reject non-essential categories or change your selection through the site's cookie-preference control. The Cookie Policy explains these categories and the information we currently know about relevant technologies.

When active and authorized, advertising tags may record events such as page views, product views, add-to-cart and purchases, together with device and transaction metadata. Any contact-list matching, retargeting, or server-side advertising transfer must be subject to the permission and opt-out rules that apply to that processing. Refusing advertising cookies must not be bypassed by a parallel server-side integration. Cookie choices do not retroactively erase earlier disclosures or control cookies used independently on a payment provider's website.

6. Email marketing

You may voluntarily subscribe to updates or promotions from RAINVELLA. Where required, we seek your affirmative marketing permission and record relevant subscription and withdrawal information. Marketing messages include an unsubscribe method; you may also ask info@rainvella.com to stop marketing. We use a minimal suppression record where necessary to honor an opt-out. Opting out does not stop order confirmations, shipping notices or necessary account and support messages. We do not currently offer a confirmed promotional text-message subscription service.

7. Retention

We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for its purpose, applicable legal requirements and unresolved claims. Our documented working retention periods include: active account records while the account remains open, with deletion or de-identification of unnecessary data normally targeted within 30 days of an effective account-deletion request; U.S. transaction and payment records generally up to seven years and applicable European tax/transaction records potentially up to ten years, depending on the specific tax regime and record type; ordinary support and return records generally three years after resolution; identifiable analytics data under our control generally up to thirteen months; and routine backups generally up to ninety days on a rolling cycle. Consent evidence or necessary marketing suppression records may be retained when needed to honor choices or demonstrate compliance. These are business retention guidelines, not claims that every external provider follows the same schedule. A legitimate dispute, legal hold or mandatory law may require a different period.

8. International processing

RAINVELLA is based in the United States and serves eligible customers in the United States, specified European Union countries and Norway. Information may be accessed or processed in the United States and in countries involved in our hosting, payments, fulfilment and carriers' operations. Where European data protection law restricts transfers, we assess and implement any required lawful transfer mechanism and safeguards before making a restricted transfer. We do not claim that a particular standard contractual clause, adequacy status or certification has already been adopted without verifying the relevant provider and arrangement.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on your jurisdiction and the processing at issue, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction of processing, withdrawal of consent, or objection to certain processing, including direct marketing. Certain U.S. state laws may additionally provide rights relating to the sale or sharing of personal information or targeted advertising. We will evaluate requests under applicable law rather than assuming that one state's eligibility thresholds apply everywhere. Where permitted, authorized agents may submit requests subject to reasonable verification of their authority.

To submit a request, email info@rainvella.com and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may verify your identity using the email associated with an order or account and limited transaction details; we will not request a full card number or security code. Where a request is denied or information must be retained for a lawful reason, we will explain the relevant reason and available follow-up rights. European individuals may lodge complaints with an appropriate supervisory authority; other customers may contact competent privacy or consumer authorities where applicable.

10. Security and children

We use measures identified in our operating records, including HTTPS, encryption, access restrictions and activity logging, to reduce the risk of unauthorized access. No Internet service can guarantee absolute security. We do not direct the Store specifically to children, do not knowingly market age-restricted goods, and do not conduct routine age or identity verification. Parents or guardians may email info@rainvella.com about information provided by a child so that we can assess and respond appropriately.

11. Reviews, public material and external links

A published product review or optional review photo may be publicly visible. We may moderate reviews to address spam, unlawful content or infringement. Submitting a review does not by itself give us permission to reuse your image or testimonial in paid advertising; we obtain any separately required authorization first. Third-party links take you to services outside our control, whose privacy practices may differ.

12. Changes and contact

We may revise this policy as our services, actual providers or legal obligations change. The date above identifies this version. If an important change materially affects an existing order or an ongoing account, we will use appropriate website or email notices where required.
