Privacy Policy
RAINVELLA is operated by RAINVELLA LLC, a company based in Iowa, United States. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit rainvella.com, create an account, shop for products, contact us, submit reviews, or interact with our marketing and customer services. RAINVELLA LLC is responsible for the personal information it processes for these activities.
We do not treat browsing our store or placing an order as permission to receive promotional messages or to use optional advertising technologies. Our Cookie Policy provides further information about cookies and your choices.
1. Personal Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account: email address, login credentials, saved addresses, account preferences, and order history if you register. You may provide additional profile information voluntarily.
- Orders and checkout: name, email address, telephone number, shipping and, where applicable, billing address; products, variants, quantities, order number, shipping method, order value, and transaction information.
- Customer support: name, contact details, order information, questions, messages and correspondence submitted through our contact form or email.
- Returns and refunds: order details, requested resolution, reason for the request, and relevant photos or videos if needed to assess damage, a defect, or a wrong item. Ordinary change-of-mind returns generally do not require photos or videos.
- Newsletter: email address, subscription preferences, and consent or unsubscribe records when you voluntarily subscribe.
- Product reviews: review text, ratings, chosen display information, and any photos you submit. Published reviews may be visible to other visitors.
- Order tracking: order number and identifying information needed to locate shipment updates.
Some details—such as your name, email, phone number, shipping address, items ordered and necessary payment information—are needed to complete a purchase. If these are not provided, we may be unable to accept or fulfill an order. You do not need to subscribe to marketing to buy our products.
Information collected during website use
Our website and its supporting systems may process IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, browser and device details, language preferences, technical logs, visited pages, search terms, cart activity, checkout actions, cookies, and security signals. Depending on your privacy choices and the technologies enabled on our site, advertising identifiers and events such as product views, cart additions, and purchases may also be processed.
We do not intentionally request precise GPS location, sensitive health information, or identification documents as part of ordinary shopping. We do not currently use heatmaps or session-replay services.
Other recipients and service-generated information
When you send a purchase to someone else, we use the recipient's delivery information to ship the order. Payment and delivery providers may return payment confirmation, refund status, tracking updates, delivery evidence, or fraud and transaction-security signals to help us manage the purchase and resolve problems. We do not buy customer contact lists.
2. Payment Information
Payments presented at checkout may be processed through Stripe, PayPal, and the payment method or verification services used by them. These providers may process payment credentials, billing details, device information, transaction details, and information needed to authenticate payments or prevent fraud. Available payment methods are shown at checkout.
We receive limited payment information necessary for order administration, such as payment status, transaction identifiers, payment type, and partial card details when made available to us. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers or CVV/CVC security codes. Please do not send card numbers, security codes, passwords, or bank credentials to our support email or contact form.
3. How and Why We Use Your Information
We use personal information to operate and protect the store; maintain accounts, carts and checkout; verify payment; fulfill orders through our own inventory operations and fulfillment partners; arrange shipping and tracking; handle changes, returns, exchanges and refunds; answer support inquiries; publish and moderate reviews; keep financial and tax records; investigate fraud, security incidents and disputes; comply with legal obligations; and establish or defend legal claims.
Where appropriate permission has been given, we also use information to send promotional emails, measure website and advertisement performance, attribute sales to advertising, and create or match marketing audiences. Necessary transactional emails about an order are separate from promotional messages.
4. Legal Bases for European Visitors
Where European data protection law applies, our processing is based on one or more of the following:
- Contract: to process your order, payment, requested account, delivery, or contractual after-sales services, or to take requested steps before purchase.
- Legal obligation: to meet applicable accounting, tax, consumer protection, regulatory, or other legal requirements.
- Legitimate interests: to maintain website and transaction security, detect fraud, respond to non-contractual inquiries, moderate reviews, resolve disputes, and defend legal claims, subject to a balance against your rights.
- Consent: where required for optional analytics, advertising technologies, marketing emails, customer-list matching, or other optional processing.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not undo processing lawfully carried out before it. You may also object to certain processing based on legitimate interests.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality, such as shopping sessions, cart contents, checkout, security, and remembering preferences. Our website uses CookieYes to display cookie choices covering Necessary, Functional, Analytics, Performance and Advertisement categories.
You can use the cookie banner or the site's cookie-preferences control to accept, reject or change non-essential categories. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent necessary shopping and security functions from operating. A closed banner or continued browsing alone is not treated as permission for optional tracking. Our intention is that non-essential browser technologies operate only when permitted by the applicable preference; the technologies that load may vary by page, browser and integration. Further details appear in our Cookie Policy.
We use or integrate advertising tools associated with Google Ads, Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel. Depending on the particular integration and privacy choices, these tools may process online identifiers, IP and device data, advertising click information, viewed products, cart or checkout events, purchase events, transaction values and currencies. Data may be transmitted through browser integrations and, for some processes, website or platform integrations.
Where we have the required authorization, we may also use contact details such as an email address or phone number to create or match advertising audiences on advertising platforms. We do not sell customer lists for cash. However, disclosure of identifiers or activity to advertising platforms may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” under certain privacy laws even without a monetary payment.
You may decline advertising cookies using our cookie settings, unsubscribe from promotional emails, or write to us at the email address below to object to marketing or request assistance with applicable advertising opt-out rights. Cookie controls alone may not remove information previously disclosed or control every independent platform account; we will address requests relating to information we control in accordance with applicable law.
6. Promotional Emails
Our newsletter and promotional emails are separate from order, shipping, payment and support notifications. We use subscription information to send promotions only where permitted by applicable law and your marketing choice. Checkout information alone does not automatically enroll you in promotional emails.
To stop promotional emails, use the unsubscribe option included in a marketing message or contact us at info@rainvella.com. We retain limited suppression information when necessary to honor your choice. We do not currently offer promotional SMS subscriptions.
7. Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including with:
- Website and hosting providers: WordPress and Hostinger support website operation, storage, security, customer accounts and checkout functionality.
- Payment providers: Stripe, PayPal and related payment-verification and risk services process payments, refunds, authentication and payment disputes where their methods are used.
- Fulfillment partners: our own dispatch operation and third-party warehouses use necessary order, recipient and product information to prepare deliveries.
- Delivery providers: DHL and FedEx receive recipient and shipment information for transportation, tracking, customs procedures and delivery investigations.
- Communications and email services: our website email and Hostinger email services support order notices, customer support and permitted promotional communications.
- Cookie and advertising providers: CookieYes manages privacy preferences; Google, Meta and TikTok may process information for permitted advertising activities.
- Professional advisers and authorities: necessary records may be disclosed for accounting, legal advice, compliance, a valid legal demand, or resolving claims.
We do not authorize fulfillment providers to use shipping details for unrelated marketing. Some providers act on our instructions, while payment, delivery and advertising companies may also process information independently under their own privacy notices. Links to some of those notices are below:

8. International Data Processing
RAINVELLA LLC is based in the United States and serves customers in the United States and selected European destinations. Information associated with your order or website visit may be processed in the United States, your delivery destination, or other locations where our service providers and their systems operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.
Where European data-transfer rules apply, transfers must have a lawful basis and any required protections. You may contact us for information about the transfers relevant to your information and any applicable safeguards. This Privacy Policy does not treat your visit as consent to international transfers that legally require a separate mechanism.
9. How Long We Keep Information
We retain data only while needed for the purposes described or to meet applicable obligations. Our working retention schedule includes:
- Account information: while the account is active; following an effective closure or deletion request, information no longer needed is generally removed or anonymized within 30 days.
- Order, invoice and necessary payment records: generally up to 7 years for U.S. business records and up to 10 years for European transaction and tax records where that retention is applicable.
- Customer service, return and refund records: generally 3 years after resolution, unless a claim, legal requirement or dispute justifies longer retention.
- Fraud and security investigation records: generally up to 3 years after resolution, subject to ongoing disputes or legal obligations.
- Marketing: while subscribed; necessary consent evidence may be kept for up to 3 years after withdrawal, and limited unsubscribe records for as long as needed to prevent further unwanted messages.
- Identifiable analytics records under our control: generally no longer than 13 months.
- Cookie preferences: generally remembered for about 6 months; individual cookies and third-party systems may have different lifetimes described in our Cookie Policy or their notices.
- Published reviews: while published, subject to moderation, valid deletion requests, and legally required retention.
- Backups: may remain in rolling backup copies for up to approximately 90 days.
These are retention practices, not a statement that every category must legally be kept for the maximum time shown. Information related to open disputes, chargebacks, taxes or legal claims may need to be kept longer, while unnecessary information may be removed earlier. Independent providers may follow their own retention rules.
10. Data Security
We use HTTPS, access restrictions, encryption where appropriate, access logs, and administrative controls designed to protect the information used by our store. Access is limited to personnel who need it for website administration, support, order fulfillment or related business purposes. No internet-based service is completely secure. Please use a strong account password and avoid sharing sensitive payment information in messages to us.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and which privacy laws apply, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of processing; object to certain uses; withdraw consent; opt out of legally defined sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; or complain to a competent data-protection authority.
For requests governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation, we respond without undue delay, normally within one month of receiving the request, with any extension permitted by that law explained within the initial period. Other requests are handled within the timeframes required by the applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Some data cannot be deleted immediately when it is necessary for tax obligations, recordkeeping, fraud investigations, payment disputes, or legal claims. If we cannot fully honor a request, we will explain the reason where required by law.
How to make a request
Email info@rainvella.com and describe the information or right involved. We may confirm your identity using the account email address, order number or other limited information reasonably needed for verification. We do not require full payment card numbers or CVV/CVC codes. An authorized representative may make a request where permitted, subject to reasonable verification of their authority.
For privacy objections relating to advertising, please specify whether you wish to withdraw consent, object to direct marketing, or exercise an applicable opt-out right. You may also manage non-essential browser tracking through our cookie-preferences control.
12. Children's Privacy
Our store is intended for general consumers and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly solicit information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child supplied personal information without the authorization required by law, please contact us. We will review and address the information appropriately.
13. Automated Processing and Reviews
Payment and security providers may use automated tools to identify suspicious transactions, and advertising services may use permitted data for measurement and audience grouping. We do not make our own final decisions to reject an order or restrict a customer account solely by automated processing without human review.
Reviews that you choose to publish may be visible to other visitors. Please do not submit private addresses, full payment details or other sensitive information in reviews. Publishing a review does not automatically give us permission to use identifiable customer content in paid advertisements for unrelated purposes.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our services, technology, or legal requirements change. The date above identifies this version. We will provide additional notice or request consent when required for a material change or a new consent-based use. Publishing an updated privacy policy alone does not replace consent where consent is legally required.
